What is the plan?

Human civilization needs a plan for survival.  The truth is, we've been winging it since the beginning of time, and so far we've been lucky.  Unfortunately that will no longer cut it.  We are now confronted with such dire threats that our civilization is seriously endangered on a global scale.  And we don't seem to have a plan for how to overcome these challenges.

On Saturday, Sept. 24, come to the – Moving Planet – march and rally in Boston calling on our elected leaders, businesses and communities to get serious about moving beyond fossil fuels. Join one of the contingents leaving Cambridge to march together in Boston.
 
Moving Planet is part of a worldwide day of events spearheaded by 350.org.

Why we WILL save the Silver Maple forest.

Thursday evening was a watershed moment (pun intended) for environmentalists and climate activists in Cambridge, Belmont, Arlington and Somerville. The event, organized and hosted by Ellen Mass from Friends of Alewife Reservation, promised to educate us on the issue of development in the wetlands around Little Pond, a small pond in the Alewife Brook Reservation that drains into the Mystic River by way of Little River.
